Wellington Animal Rights March
Kia ora tatou! Calling all animal rights advocates!
What do we want? Animal Liberation! When do we want it? Now!
On Saturday the 20th of November 2021, we will once again march for the justice of all beings who inhabit Aotearoa.
We will march together from Te Ngākau Civic Square and congregate on Parliament grounds, where we’ll listen to passionate animal rights advocates speak. We will voice our Demands and call on the Government to acknowledge them and act. Our Demands: https://www.wellingtonanimalrightsmarch.org/demands
The voices of ngā kararehe (animals) are too often ignored. We know non-human animals feel pain, aroha, fear, and joy – just like us. Let us lend our voices to our siblings whose cries are muffled behind factory walls and industry propaganda.
Let’s unite in solidarity, raise awareness about animal rights and empower one another to stand up for non-human animals in our everyday lives.
Last year, over 500 compassionate people from around Aotearoa joined us in Te-Whanganui-a-Tara for the first Wellington Animal Rights March. This year we want to make it even bigger and raise our voices even louder.
Bring your friends, your placards, and your passion!
Everyone is welcome to this whānau-friendly event. We aim to make this march as accessible as possible. We will have safety marshalls in high-vis vests spread throughout the march. If there is anything we can do to better accommodate your needs, please get in touch and we’ll do our very best to make it happen.
